Try your hand with clay
Not sure if working with clay is for you? Come try your hand at it! Mudluk offers both one and two hour clay dates, for you, and maybe a friend or two, starting at $85.00. You’ll have a great time working one-on-one with an experienced instructor, where you will create pieces using hand building or wheel throwing techniques.
Build it with your hands
Our Handbuilding Class invites beginners and experienced ceramicists alike to dive into claywork while fostering a sense of community. Beginners will start with the fundamentals, using hands and simple tools to master coil building, slab construction, pinching, and extrusion techniques. You’ll also explore surface decoration methods such as applied textures, graffito, and glaze application, all while working on individual projects with guidance from our instructor.
Spin the Wheel
Our Wheel Throwing Class is designed for both beginners and intermediate students who want to explore or deepen their pottery skills in a supportive, collaborative environment. Beginners will start by learning essential techniques, including wedging, centering, pulling, lifting, and trimming, to create foundational forms like cylinders, cups, and bowls. You’ll also dive into basic surface decoration techniques, giving each piece a personal touch.
